Gorslas Community Council is delighted to share that Chair, Cllr Simon Martin, enjoyed a fantastic day at the Sir Gâr YFC Rally 2026, held on 9 May 2026 at the United Counties Showground, Nantyci, Carmarthen.
The annual rally brought together Young Farmers Clubs from across Carmarthenshire for a full day of competitions, including stock judging, shearing, cooking, crafts, and performance events. The day highlighted the exceptional talent, teamwork, and dedication of young people involved in agriculture and rural life.
This year’s event was proudly supported by Castell Howell, whose sponsorship helped showcase the skills and achievements of young farmers across the region.
Cllr Martin expressed her admiration for the enthusiasm and commitment shown by all participants and congratulated the organisers, volunteers, and competitors for delivering another outstanding rally.
