Mobile CCTV Unit Relocated to Cefneithin Park

Gorslas Community Council arranged for mobile CCTV cameras to be deployed in Gorslas Park to help tackle ongoing dog‑fouling issues and keep the park clean and safe for everyone. The mobile unit has now been moved to Cefneithin Park as part of the Council’s continued efforts to respond to concerns raised by residents.

The cameras use AI‑supported monitoring to encourage responsible dog ownership. Gorslas Community Council is one of the first councils in Carmarthenshire to adopt this new approach to reducing dog fouling in public spaces.

Because the system is fully mobile, the cameras can be relocated to problem areas across all three wards whenever required. This flexibility allows the Council to act quickly and focus on locations where issues are most persistent.

Dog fouling remains one of the most common complaints from park users, and the Council is committed to taking practical steps to improve the environment for families, walkers, and visitors.

We thank residents and park users for their continued support and remind all dog owners to please pick up after their pets to help keep our parks and green spaces clean.

The Council would also like to extend its thanks once again to Stuart and Nick from Mobile CCTV Services for installing the equipment and supporting the rollout of this new technology.
