CCTV Brought Into Gorslas Park to Help Tackle Dog Fouling

Gorslas Community Council has arranged for mobile CCTV cameras to be placed in Gorslas Park to help tackle ongoing dog‑fouling issues and keep the park clean and safe for everyone.
The cameras, use AI technology to support monitoring and encourage responsible dog ownership. Gorslas is one of the first communities in Carmarthenshire to make use of this new approach to help reduce dog fouling in public spaces.
Because the system is fully mobile, the cameras can be moved to problem areas across all three wards whenever needed. This allows the Council to respond quickly to concerns raised by residents and focus on areas where issues are most persistent.
Dog fouling continues to be one of the most common complaints from park users, and the Council is committed to taking practical steps to improve the environment for families, walkers, and visitors.
We thank residents and users of our parks for their support and remind all dog owners to please pick up after their pets to help keep our parks and green spaces clean.
The Council would like to extend its thanks to Stuart and Nick from Mobile CCTV Services for installing the equipment and supporting the rollout of this new technology.
